The cause of delamination defect of steel plate and its influence on steel pipe quality
- Aug 13, 2018 -

The delamination defect of steel plate is caused by the shrinkage defect of ingot. The steel ingot with shrinkage cavity will form a stratification in the middle of the gang strip after rolling.

The internal delamination defects of hot rolled steel plate can be exposed at the edge of strip steel after longitudinal shearing, but it is not easy to find.

The layered defects are obviously exposed in the process of forming and welding, resulting in large longitudinal cracks and not even welding. The delamination defects of the steel strip can be examined by ultrasonic detection.
