The production practice has proved that the temperature of molten steel in RH treatment has little effect on the content of [n] in molten steel, but the vacuum degree has great influence on the content of molten steel [n].

The vacuum degree of vacuum treatment has a great effect on nitrogen removal, however, due to various conditions, it is very difficult to achieve the ideal vacuum degree, and other factors also limit the vacuum nitrogen removal effect of molten steel to a large extent.

In molten steel, because w[o] and [S] are surface active substances, the chemical reaction (2[n]=n2) of the gas-liquid interface becomes the restrictive link of denitrification when its content exceeds a certain value. The experiment proves that if the content of [S] in molten steel is about 10PPM, RH treatment of molten steel time of 10min, then the highest rate of nitrogen removal can reach 50%, when the original [S] in molten steel in the 100ppm above, the whole process of nitrogen removal rate is very low, the highest can only to 30% or less; under the same test conditions, The effect of the initial [S] content of the molten steel on the nitrogen removal rate was similar when the RH treatment time was prolonged to 20min. So it is very important to reduce the content of molten steel [S] before RH treatment. LF must be fully desulfurization.
