China's crude steel production capacity to fall below 1 billion tons by 2025

Yu Yong, president of the China Iron and Steel Industry association, said China would close more old steel mills and reduce crude steel production to less than 1 billion tonnes by 2025, and China's iron demand would gradually decline. China's goal is to keep capacity utilization at around 80%.
