August South Korea Exports Of Steel Products Declined

In August, South Korea's steel pipe exports were affected by a sharp drop in U.S. Steel import quotas, down from 247,900 tonnes in the same period last year to 114600 tonnes, down 53.8% from the same year. In August, the export volume of South Korea's oil pipe dropped from 80,200 tonnes to 2438 tonnes in the same period last year, down 97% from 52,900 tonnes to 23,200 tonnes, down 56% from 3274 tonnes, to 1403 Tonnes, the export volume of longitudinal welded pipe decreased from 37,500 tons to 35,700 tons, and the export volume of rectangular tube decreased from 8198 to 1620 Tons.
South Korean steel pipe manufacturers expect South Korea to resume its export of oil-specific pipes to the US market in the fourth quarter of this year, when its performance will rebound. According to the announcement signed by U.S. President Donald Trump on August 30, the United States will be targeted to relax the import quotas on South Korean steel Products.
