EN10028 P265GH Seamless boiler Pipe 4” SCH160 10-12M
EN10028-2 covers alloy and no-alloy steels for pressure vessels with elevated temperature properties. P265GH is useful at moderate temperatures for pressure purposes. At the standard thickness it has a minimum yield strength of 265 MPa. It is normalised by heating through the thickness of the plate to a temperature between 890 to 950°C without holding.
P265GH is a weldable non-alloy quality pressure vessel steel. P265GH has a wide application in the manufacture of pressure vessels, boilers and heat exchangers in the oil and gas industry.P265GH is also used in chemical and pharmaceutical process plants.

It has some heat resistance but for higher temperatures and applications where corrosion is more of a factor then chrome moly steels are recommended. P265GH is specified in EN 10028-2:2009 which replaces the old BS 1501 and DIN17155 standards. It is a steel for use as boiler plate with a minimum yield strength of 265 MPa. P265 is normally delivered in the normalized condition.
